Underrated. Does a good job of balancing the story with the action, making the ending light-saber fight much more epic.

Not my least favourite in the franchise but the characters are bland, there's no joy to be have, Lucas had too much creative freedom, the action is completely over the top, the CGI is unconvincing, there's an overload of exposition and it's too kiddy-ish. I'm surprised this is from the same franchise as the masterful Empire Strikes Back!

I like the pod racing part and the lightsaber duel part, but some of the scenes are awful.

I see flaws with this film as other fans, but I also see some of the best Star Wars moments too. It's apparent Lucas cannot write dialogue, for sure. I can't ignore parts of the movie that show true brilliance, like in special effects, sound/art design, fight choreography and movie score. John "friggin" Williams people! Don't watch this movie expecting it to be better than the original trilogy. Find other ways to appreciate it for what it is.

There is very little to this movie that I actually like! The plot makes no sense. It stops and starts way too much. A kids fantasy movie about political talks, taxes and trades? The characters and dialogue is so damn bland topped with dated racial stereotypes. There are some cool ideas with the visuals but the CGI is so overused that everything looks fake. Apart from the music and maybe seeing the Jedi in their prime, there's also no redemptive qualities (even the Dual Of Fates suffers as Qiu Jon and Maul has 0 character development so I didn't find myself invested in the fight). In 2019, this movie is purely unwatchable. 3/10.
