That bloated runtime is a major liability, but everything else about it works. Gal Gadot is a baaaaabe.

Just awful. Imagine the original Superman movie following up that hit by jumping straight to Superman IV: The Quest for Peace and releasing that film as the direct sequel. That is EXACTLY what happened here with Wonder Woman. This 1984 disaster is every bit as bad as Quest for Peace. That’s not an exaggeration or hyperbole. Everything in this awful awful movie gives off a cheesy nonsensical vibe to the point where you actually feel sorry for a great cast trapped in this material.

Lots in common with its predecessor: leading cast, director, characters, producers, story arc. But it's so much worse, it's almost inexplicable. The writing, predominantly Jenkins', is atrocious. The script, the pacing, the story are all just terrible. Avoid.

I don’t see that really. Iron Man 2’s biggest problem is being controlled by higher heads, making it like 3 movies at once to advertise The Avengers. WW84’s problems come from being free to do whatever they want to do, without anyone going “Hey! Does that make any GD sense?!”. I’d say the Iron Man 2 of the DCEU is probably BvS, maybe. Justice League is kinda it’s own thing.

I didn't really find it THAT much worse than the first film, but I would say it mostly doesn't stack up. I honestly didn't find too much wrong except for being an hour too long.

What about all the major plot holes, character errors, and that whole stupid wish thing. If anything, it’s too short as it needs to explain way more.

I still think Gal Gadot is some of the best casting in the entire superhero genre. She carries the movie with an effortless grace. It’s some of the moving parts and the shaky structure around her that unavoidably leaves this feeling like a letdown.
