You know, It was a good movie but it had its problems. It took it 1,5 hour to finally get started. the plot wasn't slow paced, just nothing happened during the first 90 minutes of the film. Also I did NOT by the relationship between amsterdam and the whore. So not believable and so sudden. The themes were handled good I guess. Only character who I could really connect to was William Cutting. He was so interresting and amazing, loved his relationship with Dicaprio and Daniel Day Lewis played him wonderfully. Him and the last amazing 30 minutes really gave this movie a big push. Think I'll rate it 6.5-7/10

Can we talk about that opening scene? That show down between Liam Nelson and Day-Lewis was awesome!
