Brilliant movie, main problem is that Gary Oldman's characters wasn't developed enough

I disagree. You want to know about his background, why he is so messed up? You want him to have some kind of end goal in mind, other than murdering our two heroes? Neither of those would make him any cooler. Giving him any more "story" would only humanize and make him sympathetic which we do not want, we want to hate / fear him.

This film has far too many flaws for me to call it great, but you can't deny these performances and Bresson's talent here.

The first act is brilliant. The rest is good but it never reaches the same heights for me.
