I understood it; I just didn't care. I felt nothing besides discomfort and boredom. I wasn't enlightened or entertained by the film.
This is a weird one. I was fascinated, disturbed and bored - all at the same time. The visuals and the soundtrack was beautiful and unsettling, but I felt the very deliberate pace and the umm, artsyness of it all, was ultimately something that distanced me. Clever stuff, but not my cup of tea in the end.
The most bizarre and discomfortable movie of the year. Some of the best visuals I've seen in a long while.

An odd film, but it's amazing cinematography and score make it worth a watch.
Even with all the visuals and stunning unsettling moments the result is just plain boring.
A surreal alien invasion film that puts you in a hypnotic state for 108 minutes. The films hunting atmosphere, methodical pacing and eerie sounds are captivating. Johansson's minimalist performance is outstanding. If the film was a little less artsy it could have been something special. Nonetheless, it is still a unique and interesting piece of work.
