I don't know why everyone says this is the best Rocky film I mean it's fun but by far not the best better than five that's for sure although I did enjoy that one as well I say my favorite is the third or the first

Pure entertainment, that's all I have to say about Rocky IV. It's not a "good" movie, but it entertains the hell out of me, and it is probably the most rewatchable movie of the franchise.

This movie is basically a glossed up, over the top form of 1980's action melodrama, which is thick on the cheese and even thicker on the montages. And I loved every minute of it.

My friends and I got a copy of Rocky IV on VHS, way back in the 80's and laughed at how corny and stupid it was, even back then. Now, it's just plain unwatchable.

Back in 2009 (the heyday of Flickchart), Rocky IV was the highest rated movie that was no one's #1 movie. Now an astonishing 21 people have it as their #1. Crazy!
Oh, btw, it was globally ranked at #470 at that time.
