Hey, Star Wars fans, just so you know, almost every “Extended Universe” book I’ve read is better than the prequel trilogy….
And Bill Murray would have improved “There Will Be Blood” dramatically.
Shawshank over GoodFellas in a heartbeat.
I also saw GoodFellas for the first time only very recently, and while it was fine, I was unimpressed. When it comes to Scorsese, I much prefer The Departed.
Shawshank, however, is wonderful. As far as Darabont adapting Stephen King, I prefer The Green Mile, but all three of his King adaptations are absolutely wonderful.
Oh, my God, Nathan, The Illusionist is fine, but The Prestige is frikkin’ AWESOME! (#5 on my Flickchart.)
By the way, it’s not supernatural.
It’s a science fiction movie.
I’m glad you went from the video version to audio as it is an audio podcast (allows for listening in the car, etc.). However, I miss seeing the posters as you discuss–it helps if you get off topic a bit. You could continue to do the audio version, but create chapters with “cover art” images for each of the match-ups. I’m not sure how you do this technically, but a couple other audio podcasts I listen to do it and it is nice.
Keep up the good work, the podcast is as addictive as the site!
