Love me some Django Unchained. Well shot action scenes, wihich make me laugh as well, go a long way for it to be a favourite. Tarantino is also one of my favourite directors. I just wish he didn't attempt an Aussie accent. I'm Australian you see, and it was very grating to my ears. Are you excited for The Hateful Eight?
watchman on 5/23/2015 Reply · Like · (0 likes)
you didn't like the Dark Knight that much?
shane24 on 5/23/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
All good points. I also had a good chuckle when the woman was shot, then disappeared out of sight. :D Quite possible Jarrett gave him the ok, but I would too in his boots. But still, I can't help but cringe when I hear it. I will say, the accent is nowhere near as bad as the attempted Aussie accents in Pacific Rim. Terrible. Love the profile pic btw.Oh, and The Warriors is a classic.
I love International Man of Mystery! But, i don't care much about the sequels. It's a bit hard to me saying a sequel is better than original, even Evil Dead is ruined by weak. That's be called a cliché! Haha, every Goldfinger comment, i'll waiting you. Hell, i definitely love Goldfinger! That's the superior spy film! Even better than North by Northwest. Scientific fact.Well, man, i laughed a lot with Titanic, Alien, and the serious part of Anchorman, but if you heard it in a non-action film, it's have to be hilarious! You're Ray ? I'm Norman, a brit 2 years old 'boy'. I like very much the comedy genre, my all-time favorite comedy is Anchorman 2 and first. Anchorman > Godfather.
I was only asking because your the only person i seen on here with the Dark Knight on your worst list, yes Batman v Superman does look good can't wait for that.

I typed out a comment to you before, but I bloody lost it. I will type it again later. Going to watch Ex Machina in a minute. :)
No, I didn't overlook it. I genuinely typed it out, but lost it because I was at the airport at the time. It just frustrated me to type out comments again, but I will do it now.

That is a great way to look at QT's accent. But, it just doesn't work for me. I know plenty of uneducated bogans (our word for rednecks), and none sound like that. It's really my only complaint of the film, andi can live with it. The film is amazing. Tom Hardy's Aussie accent isn't perfect either, but I was fine with it. It was close enough that it didn't bother me in Fury Road. Even though it seemed to be disappearing as the film went. :D Pacific Rim is about 7/10 for me. My other problems are the dialogue, and it being too dark to see the action at times. That's totally fair if The Dark Knight doesn't work for you. I'm all for hearin opions. the world is boring if we all thought the same. :) Some people on here don't think like that, but I do. I am starting to get a bit tired of the superhero formula now. After seeing the breath of fresh air Mad Max, I will notice mote. I think it has set a new standard. I'm glad it's an Aussie movie. Well, backed by American money, but with Australian creative team. So, I'm claiming it. :D That's an interesting opinion of JP 3. I would like to hear more of this reason please? Not to be defensive about it. I genuinely want to hear what you have to say about it.
shane24 on 5/31/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
Totally fair enough. It's draining when you lose a comment, huh? Not only because you have to type it again, but having to repeat yourself is annoying. So, I totally understand your position. :)

I assume you love my favorite film ever ?
shane24 on 6/5/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
That mkes complete sense to me. If you feel lulls in Jurssic Park, then that's totally fair to rate it s you do. I was wondering if you were older, because you've seen many movies. :)I also completely agree with your point on Nolan, or any other director like that. If he makes a shitty film, I will rate him accordingly. Some on here, tend to just blindly follow him.Interstellar definately felt rushed at the end, I agree 100%.I'll be honest, I didn't like Jurassic Park 3, but you make me want to give it another chance with your thoughts. :)Thanks for writing all that again, I appreciate it greatly.

Wow, my dad too (Probably 1991). I'm 22 and i've seen a lot of films (Usually 3 for the day, and The Shining after all), but i've seen Silence many times too. When i'm 12-14, i've watching a new film like Se7en, or re-watching one, and Silence, together with Halloween and A Nightmare on Elm Street are my favs. Hey, what the hell happened to your list ?
Very hard indeed. This is the fourth time i delete my rankings. Thoughts on A Charlie Brown Christmas, man ?
Danny237 on 6/7/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
I have the same problem, lol. When i trying to put Psycho (41 films in the moment of the trouble) on my 2, this just can't.Same here, even though i love The Grinch. You're like A Clockwork Orange ? :p
Yeah, i agree. I don't give a damn for this sex film! Wow, that's really a joke! At least, you've seen a lot of films! Oh, i'm love the Grinch cartoon. And Jim Carrey too, but the film just sucked. What did you think about The Cat in the Hat ?
Danny237 on 6/8/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
Yep, both of the first Shrek films are excellent too, but Cat in the Hat was a nightmare, pure garbage!LoL, man! Just a question: We stop to date (with girls, obviously) how many years? :v
shane24 on 6/10/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
I can easily read it on imdb if you wish? I go in with open mind with every movie, but the remakes don't usually work for me. Black Christmas comes to my mind a lot. But hey, the 80's The Thing is a remake, and I bloody love that. :) Ah, it'll be like a new film again after thirty yearsWatching Jurassic World this weekend. Hope it's fun. Plan to see Fury Road again as well.
shane24 on 6/12/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
You may have worded it righ, and I didn't read it properly. Entirely possible. :) Sorry for the confusion. You know Letterboxd? You can add reviews on there as well.I've only seen the original twice, soi don't have that problem yet. I kinda get your point of something new if you have seen the original so much.I had good seats for Jurassic World myself! I wasn't even aware it was premium until i walked in. :D The seat didn't recline, but they were much nicer than the norm. An expensive night for you at the movies would be cheap for me if you're American. $20 is average price for a ticket. I quite enjoyed Jurassic World. I see the possibility for the lulls you don't like, but there was a few crazy moments that I had fun with.

I like Jurassic Park III more than you ?

I've seen you changed your list completely.Cool to see "Anchorman" in your 45! That's "The Godfather" of 21th Century. "Anchorman 2" is "The Godfather: Part II".Hey, what you liked in "Johnny Mnemonic" ?I just think it's a terrible film in every way possible, lol.
shane24 on 6/19/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
Man, they are really good prices for a ticket. What's the average wage in Canada? I'm wondering if that has anything to do with ours being more priceyI didn't see it in 3d. I'm nearly over 3d. I was on board when they were doing it properly. But Hollywood is just cutting corners to add price to ticket, while not even shooting it in 3d. if I can take the glasses off, and can't see the difference, that's a big problem. I'm not against all 3d, but the times I'm satisfied for the extra hit to the pocket is lacking.

I'm probably mistyped, but the story is original and interesting, Keanu was very good, and the film has its moments. Certainly, man! One thing i don't give a fuck for that, is if the film is animated. Incredibles, example. It's adult. Isn't for kids.
shane24 on 6/28/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
Oh, that's quite a difference. Ours is about $16. Probably fair for us to pay more for cinema tickets then. Do you have guilty pleasure movies? Or do you just think what you like is just good? I personally have some guilty pleasures.
shane24 on 7/13/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
I actuallly like some of those films you listed as well. Some don't work for me, but that doesn't matter. I am in the same boat as you. Some films I think are genuinely good, but I see them as potential guilty pleasure because most don't like them. Movies like Shoot 'Em Up and Vampire's Kiss come to mind. However, there is some fans out for both of them. But I've seen hatred as well.

no star wars????

Hey man, long time no talk. Have you seen Jurassic World ?It's merely a mess with a fat annoying kid (Simpkins) and his older brother yet more annoying (Robinson) running from dinosaurs.
Danny237 on 8/11/2015 Reply · Like · (0 likes)
Ofcourse, reviews aren't influence for me (i.e. Jurassic Park III is ranked very well) too, but Jurassic World is just a damn bad film IMO. Every predecessor is better than this bullshit. All the characters look so fake, except for Justin Bieber as Gray. He's just sooooo annoying!

We've been friends on Flickchart for months; but I never had the chance of say - You has a great and honest list as well.I searching for opinions on my closed top 10, can you give me yours? Thanks!
TommyDoyle78 on 9/28/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
Thanks, man! Hey, you've got a lot of movies here! I'm 14 and I'm very busy, but I want to keep my love for movies. I've seen 257 movies so far, I guess, but I want to watch more. I'm really lost for picking them. Your list looks very honest, so how too many ones you can recommend to me? Thanks!
TommyDoyle78 on 10/23/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
Thanks, man. I just got to watch The Warriors, Dazed and Confused, and Groundhog Day as soon as possible.Yes, I'm with you. It's kinda complex even if you got less than 300 movies. I'm happy with my top 3 at least. And what's about The Visit? I'm curious with what's this movie like.
TommyDoyle78 on 10/25/2015 Reply · Like · (0 likes)
Your rating was one of the highest that movie received, lol. Some of my friends said that it's another Shyamalan crap movie.Hey, my grandpa just got The Warriors vhs! On the next week, I'll watch it. Any recommendations before watching it? Anything that need special attention?
TommyDoyle78 on 10/30/2015 Reply · Like · (1 like)
I don't care for movie reviews. It's one person opinion. I'd like to heard about the movie, like your thoughts on The Visit, but I'll never care for reviews if I enjoyed the movie. My rankings are properly based on enjoyment. Jurassic Park is pure nostalgia, and I enjoy 100% it.RoboCop 2 had its moments, but I don't enjoyed nothing of it. 0%Hey man, I'll just open my mind, and since you love it because more of nostalgia, I'll don't keep a high expectation as well. Even if I don't like it all that much, I think it'll grow on me.
