Really good movie. Make no mistake, this is a grim disaster movie filled with plenty of carnage and destruction yet it’s intelligent and realistic. If the mood calls for end of the world scenarios with true emotion and true connection then this film does it masterfully. So much so that it really is disturbing and truly delivers squirm in your seat moments. If you’re looking for The Rock to be running around like a moron in a CGI video game then this movie isn’t for you. Honestly, both leads deliver award winning level performances. Hard to believe from Gerard Butler but this is absolutely Morena Baccarin’s most powerful performance.
