Well,i hated "Thor" & both "Hulks", wasn't THAT impressed by "Captain America" and thought that "Iron Man 2" really failed as a sequel,'cause didn't quite matched the original. But DUDE...Avengers is a happy surprise, and a AWESOME blockbuster. REALLY matched up the hype.

Marvel has done it again but this time to the max! You can rest assured that Avengers is an absolutely amazing movie. It more than lives up to all the hype. Avengers really takes the comic book genre to the highest level and that's the homest to God truth.

I agree with Showtimebr, I think The Avengers brought an A game for Marvel that hasn't been seen yet! Hulk finally stole the show.

Showtimebr is right. The hype for this movie was so intense i started to wonder could it actually hold up. Let me tell you it did. . This movie was Incredible. Pun intended lol. It wouldn't be too far fetched to say this movie is the best movie ive seen in my entire life. There are so many "moments" of awesomeness. Even when no action is happening on screen the movie still holds up.

I saw this film on a Saturday and for the first time watched Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man 2 on the Friday before. I didn't feel all of the huge hype that this film created but after I left the theater, I was in awe. Everything is done right including the acting and the hilarious and well written script by Whedon. It has even gone as far to top TDK on my Flickchart and is now second place on my favorites. Even if you aren't a huge Marvel fanboy, you will enjoy this film.

Avengers was the most ambitious comic book film of all time, and that ambition paid off. It's NOW the best comic book film of all time bar none. No one involved in this production seemed to take anything for granted. Everyone (actors, FX people, writers, director, etc.) all brought their A-game. It truly is the gem they had promised and truly is a worthy holder of the crown.

This movie was great, but to have it in the top 20 of all fucking deserves it. Best movie ever!

I don't get it.

Don't get me wrong; this movie was fun as hell. But there are at least several other Marvel movies I prefer over it. Its epic rise up the charts here puzzles me.

But hey, I have The Dark Knight at #2 on my personal chart, so what do I know? ;)

More than amazing!

The action sequences are spectacular and the story-line keeps you riveted from start to finish. The movie grabs you and eventually drops your jaw right to the floor. From there, the story completely consumes you. It’s one big roller coaster ride to the heart rendering and thrilling finish. Besides the pulse pounding action, I have a feeling that the writing and characterization of this film is going to surprise those that don't know any better.

I went to this website today fully intending to put The Avengers at the top of my list, but while it has The Hulk, The Princess Bride has Andre the Giant.

Yeah, it was, with Dark Knight at number 2. Now they're not even in the top 20! Something must've been changed to the ranking system.

Avengers hit the high mark and paid off what five other high quality solo films set up. How can fans of the genre not love that? It's the best time I've had in the cinema in years.

This was by far the best of the Avengers movies...Captain America and Iron Man were both great movies as well (I also liked Thor though many people didn't like it), but The Avengers was the best of them all

It seems like Flickchart changed the way it ranked on the overall user chart, giving greater weight to movies that are considered "acceptable" classics.

It's kind of insulting. The whole point of the site is for rankings to be wholly user generated. What's the point if the site runners decide that they don't like where users are placing the movies, and decide to arbitrarily change the rankings? And what's the point? To give the site some kind of legitimacy it doesn't need? Very disappointing.

Thor was okay, Captain America was good, Hulk (2003) I thought was really good but not the 2008 one. The Avengers was awesome.

Surprisingly great movie. Anyway, the sequel's title was just recently announced: Avengers: Age of Ultron. I honestly expected it to just be called The Avengers 2. lol

This movie was too confusing. Didn't understand anything, from what was stolen to what the whole deal was. I couldn't make it through half of the movie before I stopped. Sorry, not a fan of Marvel.

I didn't see this movie in theaters, and a lot of people were hyping it up saying it was the best movie ever. So I watched it when it came out on Redbox and was extremely disappointed. So disappointed that I actually dislike this movie because of the false sense of hope I had going into it.

It's a good film. I'd say that it was just a popcorn flick with no real depth or lasting impression tied with it though. I was entertained, sure but it needed something else, like Guardians of the Galaxy.

With Infinity War being a two parter in reality, do we have to wait to crown Avengers the best trilogy of all-time?

But it’s not tho. Age of Ultron makes that claim invalid. The Dark Knight trilogy is better, and possibly LOTR
