The soundtrack/score was very dated. But I really did enjoy the diolouge. Will and Sean were both really fleshed out characters that I had a great time watching.

One of the most overrated films of all-time. Despite its facade of relatable, coming-of-age drama, Will is honestly nothing than a self-projected wish fulfillment figure for angsty, adolescent youths out there. The story, once you break it all down, basically boils down to "I'm too smart for anyone to comprehend, but I'm also damaged as a result of events completely out of my control growing up." Basically, it's what every teenager thinks/wishes they are.

Lots of bad taste on this site. #1 film of 1997 my ass. Doesn't come close to Boogie Nights, LA Confidential or Jackie Brown
