Even the MCU films are art regardless of how good they are. I personally think you're being way too harsh on them, but that's just me.

Thor Ragnarok really is as good as everyone is saying. The critics got it right yet again with yet another Marvel film. Sorry that drives some tools a bit nuts.

Ragnarok is both the funniest and most exciting movie of 2017. How they managed to find that balance is nothing short of amazing.

I'm not really into Marvel, but something starring Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill is worth seeing! And it looks so good. Going to give it a try. Hope it's not as bad as GotG 2.

It's good. It pulls off the Guardians aesthetic nicely, and Hemsworth is a funny guy. (He single-handedly made Ghosbusters 2016 worth seeing.) But both Guardians films pull of the aesthetic with more heart. This is far and away the best solo Thor movie, but solidly middle-tier MCU.

Thor Ragnarok turned out to be a great film. While fun, it's not all jokes. There really is weight to what happens that's for sure. My favorite blockbuster of 2017.

I wasn’t into the previous Thor movies (actually, I skipped the second one), but I heard this was refreshing and funny, plus I’m a Hulk fan, so I checked it out.

I would call it pretty seriously overrated. It comes across to me like they wrote a self-serious Thor movie that would have been a retread of many other MCU movies, and said “okay, what can we do to make this a little less dour?” So they “punched it up” with a bunch of jokes. But that’s not how you get the right, medium tone: it’s still too pompous and serious one minute, and then jarringly jokey the next. What they really needed to do was start over from scratch, go back to the drawing board.

This is one of the best MCU films, and easily the most entertaining. How can you not like this, it's got everything you need for a wild ride. Humour, action, likeable characters, adventure. Just top-tier MCU from a brilliant director

All the drama, romance, and mythological storytelling has been dropped for one major component: humor. It's not bad but I hoped it took itself a bit more seriously.
