I enjoyed it and laughed a lot with the Duke. I give a 9 out of 10.

Wow, having Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne in a movie together is quite the feat. Really good story telling in here. And as all good westerns, this one got better as it went along.

400th Movie! Ive been on a Western kick recently and I was shocked to realise that I had never seen Liberty Valance. James Stewart and John Wayne are both brilliant, Lee Marvin had a great presence, I like the political themes and the Western idea that democracy doesn't exist when everyone wants to kill each other. It does have its problems, the first 45 minutes has a bit of filler and I found a couple characters pretty annoying. Nevertheless, a really good western!
