You can tell PTA was still figuring out his style in punch drunk love. This was a good film, but not great like the master, or there will be blood.

Couldn't disagree more. I think this is the film where PTA more or less, found his style. His 90's work feels very removed from the more deliberate, slower paced style he does now. This is the first film of his that seems to really embody that. It also starts a trend of him exploring lonely, damaged protagonists looking for love in their life. I don't see anyone can say this is still Paul figuring himself out.

The first movie I saw of Paul Thomas Anderson and I loved it. 9/10. I can't wait to see the others.

I generally don't like Romantic Comedies, but this is an exception. This this is a great Film.
