The cast list should list the main cast... no Pacino, DeNiro

Easily qualifies at quite possibly "the greatest performance of all time" does Al Pacino's portrayal of the tragic, matured Don Michael Corleone.

I don't care for The Godfather movies. I don't hate them, just never cared for them.

I'm sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Let me explain why I am... I did not like this film. Let me explain before you pull the trigger. The first 40 minuets is brilliant! If the whole film was like that, it would’ve been one of my favourite films of all time. There’s more tension than the first, the characters are well developed and it doesn’t only have what made the first one so good but it expands off it. Then, it becomes a bloody incoherent mess of a film! It’s like they filmed 5 different movies that had nothing to do with each other and then in the editing room, they didn’t know what to do with them so they just threw everything in and mashed it all together!

The film is a character study. It isn't about the plot, but rather the character driving the story. So for someone more used to plot-driven movies (which is fine), it'll seem like a mess.

A parallel story of one man's rise to power and another's spiritual fall. One of the few sequels that matches if not surpasses the original. Flawless film, with a legendary score. Pacino and De Niro are exceptional. Cazale, Duvall and the rest of the cast are great.

It is one of the best films ever made and my current #2. Everything that was already great about Part I became better in Part II. I like how you get to see the rise and fall of the Corleone family between the characters Michael played by Al Pacino and Vito played by Robert De Niro. Francis Ford Coppola makes effective use of flashbacks and various storytelling techniques both from a visual perspective and a great adapted screenplay. The overall tone of the film is darker and has a epic scale that shows the complexity of each character in the family.

A haunting and reflective sequel that perfectly breaths life into the original and reinforces its theme. Beautiful and unforgettable. Really, what else can you say? It's perfect.

10/10.

I actually loved it more than Part I, nevertheless Flickchart 's algorithm doesn't permit me to rank it above Part I.

Just a really terrific movie in every way. The War and Peace (mostly war) of the Corleone family.
