The return to one of the most popular trilogies of all time is disappointing. The film is so focused on the past that it hardly feels like it is moving forward. It tries to be nostalgic to the point that it feels in love with itself. Visually its an appealing film but it takes it time to get going.

Good ideas. The downside to this was the "comedic" dialogue. Smith was awful. If they make the sequel they need both sisters, more serious tone and Hugo weaving back.

The movie is ambitious but it isn't anywhere as clever as it thinks it is, bottom of the Matrix movies.
