I've seen it so many times and to this day I'm going back and forth. I love some aspects and dislike some aspects. I still don't know, I guess I have to rewatch it once again.

I really like most of Tarantino's work and I do think he is one of the best directors working today and I usually love his style so I was hyped for the Kill Bill films... and I must say, I am shocked by how bad they were. Both of them. Entirely unrealistic, bad performances and both films spend soooooooooooo much time explaining unnecessary background stories. I can't believe so many people love these 2 films. I have yet to see Jackie Brown, Hateful 8 and Death Proof... hopefully they don't disappoint me the way Kill Bill did.

Bad performances? Uma Thurman, David Carradine, Lucy Liu, and Vivica A Fox were are fantastic. Uma's performance in particular was worthy of an Oscar in my opinion.

For a film that is ultimately just the first piece to a much larger narrative, it does not disappoint.
