Easily: because the characters are better, the adaptation is better, the acting is better, the direction is better, the magic is better, the monsters are better, the scenarios are better...Well, everything is better.

Up there with King Kong & Star Wars in most important, revolutionary, and biggest films of all time. It also helps it hasn’t aged a day since it’s release. It’s so well written and intelligent; and the characters are perfect. Truly one of a kind.

That isn't really the only reason to like this movie
This movie, behind the dinosaurs and spectacle, is a brilliant film portraying proressiveness along with its upsides and downsides in a nuanced manner. It's well written, well acted, and extremely well directed. A masterpiece of movies
