An outstanding faithful adaption to a great Stephen King novel. No one does Stephen King adaptions like Darabont.

Totally agree... Although Kubrick did a pretty outstanding job with The Shining. :)

The Shining is an amazing film, but it's nowhere near faithful to the novel. It's its own thing for the most part, and that's OK.

A good movie. A little too long. Pretty well acted and directed. A good adaptation.

The last hour was great but that barely saves the film since the first two-thirds were aimless and inconsistent.
