Really enjoyed it........but: the whole panic attack scenario. I didn't think it worked too well.

***********spoilers************* I heard that they were going to have alcoholism instead, but they decided to drop it. It worked for some of the jokes, but I felt it was a bit forced, didn't feel natural to me.The Mandarin is one of Iron Man's main villains. In the comics I have learnt that he had ten rings of power that he used against Iron Man. So I don't think they'll like the change. Aldrich called himself The Mandarin at the end, so he's still there, just not what they expect. It bothers me a little because I was enjoying Ben Kinglsey, but the change really let Pearce shine as the main villain.

I felt something wasn't right with Ben Kingsley's Mandarin character, so I was glad when the story took the turn that it did. Everything fitted into place for me and I liked Pearce a lot.I liked it when the Harley was asking Tony loads of questions about The Avengers and he started having a meltdown, that was funny, and then when he threw the snowball at the kid!
*******spoilers***********I liked all the interactions with the kid! Especially when Tony was in his car and left him! I thought that was very funny, oh and the puppy dog eyes he gave him! :D I also laughed at the conversation between Tony and the two guards when his suit was coming. One of my favourite scenes is when he's flying around that room with the hand and foot on. The way he maneuvers the suit while shooting was fantasticWhat I really liked was how much time Tony was out of his suit, relying on his brain to battle the soldiers. Fantastic stuff! One part that I was let down by was really my fault. When I saw the trailer with all the suits that we learn are empty. I thought the huge one was the hulk! So when I learned they were empty, I was disappointed. Imagine that! It would be amazing Kate!
*Spoilers below*Ahh yeah I can see why you would think that, Shane! I don't know how I managed to miss it, but I avoided most of the promo that's been out for this movie, so that was a surprise. When all the suits came flying out and were all together, I had such a grin on my face, it was an awesome scene.Yeah, when he's in the car leaving Harley and says 'because we have a connectionnn' before driving off, that got one of the biggest laughs :D
******spoilers*********How awesome was the Pepper Aldrich fight!? But that leads me to asking- did he die at the end? He just got blown up in a iron man suit, would he really be dead from Pepper hitting him? And if so, why would they just walk off without checking? :)
*********spoilers*********That crossed my mind as well. It was all a bit quick, but I did think she killed him although it wasn't clear enough, I agree. The other Extremis guy was killed by Tony on the plane, wasn't he? When he said 'get up from that you sonofabitch'?
*********spoilers************I thought so, but I didn't understand what the difference was from all the other times that something happened to him. I just think it could of been explained better. Maybe on re-watch I'll pick it up. :)Oh, you got to love Aldrich bloody breathing fire!
************************It definitely could have been done better.I wasn't expecting the fire breathing, haha! Meant to say I loved Pepper kicking butt at the end too, great fight.I liked Rhodes and Stark together too :D
******spoilers********Yeah, the whole shooting of the light was really funny. So was his password! :D I also laughed at the creepy guy that had a Tony tattoo on his arm.
********spoiler*******************Hahaha yes, the Tony tattoo was one of the funniest things in the movie for me, the way he said 'boom!', it just got me. So funny!

******spoilers********Would you like to see Pepper (nearly wrote Peeper) make some sort of appearance in The Avengers 2? She'd be pretty handy.Oh, that's another great part. The missiles hitting the house! I loved how they showed the quick thinking of Tony making sure Pepper was fine. It made me laugh that the other girl copped it! And that's before I knew she was bad. :) But why would she go in there if she knew missiles were coming! Did I miss something?
Kate668 on 4/29/2013 Reply · Like · (1 like)
I don't think she did know about the missiles, she didn't know he was going to go all out for Tony immediately. That's one thing I thought was a bit silly, Tony calling out the Mandarin and broadcasting his address, after telling Pepper he'd do everything to protect her. But, on the other hand, it was classic Stark, wasn't it.

They took what worked so well in Iron Man and even Iron Man 2 to a degree and ran with it in an extremely gratifying way with this third installment. The complexity, depth, heart and action were even more off the charts than the first film. I totally agree with most of the film critics who are raving about Iron Man 3. It’s is not just a great comic book movie but a great movie period. .

*HAVE TRIED TO AVOID SPOILERS BUT BE CAREFUL IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE FILM NEVERTHELESS* Iron Man 3 seems to have come from a not too dissimilar place to The Dark Knight Rises in that the hero spends much of the film outside of the suit relying on his wits and intelligence rather than his gadgets. Add to that a villain who was very much created from Tony's own arrogance and ignorance (although I was somehow reminded more of Skyfall in terms of how the villains operated). I think the stuff with Tony's character development (which, let's face it, takes up most of the narrative) ranged from "heartfelt but never heart-rendering" to "unrealised"; I liked how personal the story became and it's nice to see Tony become emotionally vulnerable without spending the first two-thirds of the film being utterly unlikeable as he was in the second film. However, there were elements of his character arc which could have worked well if they'd been resolved by the end of the film i.e. the PTSD from The Avengers. Unfortunately this was kind of washed over, although there is something there. Most of the supporting cast do what they have to do, with a particularly entertaining performance from Ben Kingsley, but the biggest problem with the film, as it has always been in Iron Man films, is the villain. Without wishing to give too much away, the motivation of the villain, while it is at least roughly explained this time unlike in previous installments, is not particularly strong, and I found Guy Pearce's performance to be utterly bland and forgettable. The script still has the wit and charm of it's predecessors and thankfully loses the excessive bickering (which worked well in the first but reaches overload levels in the second) and insufferably hateful corporate pandering and the need to sacrifice of logic in order to hastily establish characters for the Avengers that the second one did. The action is pretty creative, especially with the skydiving rescue sequence, mansion break-in and multiple suit battle, but naturally the action is hampered in the same way as retrospective viewing of the first film is hampered; any action and effects set-pieces in the MCU will now be compared to those of the first Avengers film, and the majority will fail because the Avengers pushed everything to the nth degree. So on the whole, I'd say Iron Man 3 is good effort to follow up on the Avengers movie, and a massive improvement on the despicable Iron Man 2, but never really pushes into premier league superhero territory. I'd say it's stuck in the championship with Captain America and the earlier Spider-Man films, but unlike them, it at least has the potential for promotion. 7 - 7.5/10.

I had high expectations going in to this film and it managed to hit or exceed almost all of them. I simply loved that nothing held to any type of cliche. Nearly every interaction delivered something unexpected and fresh. A great end to an exceptional trilogy.

******SPOILERS******Great movie, saw it last night, going to see it again in a couple hours without any hesitation. Downey was great as usual. He and the boy (Simpkins) had wonderful chemistry. Seeing them together sort of reminded me of Indy and Short Round in Temple of Doom. Guy Pearce was his usual, smirky self. Would've liked to see him put up a better fight than he did in the end, but that's nit-picking on my part. It was a fairly big leap over the second one in my opinion, though some might feel differently.

I didn't have huge expectations for this movie, so I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Big improvement over Iron Man 2.

Some minor issues here n' there, but truth is, this is the best "Iron Man" so far and the best Marvel Studios movie for me yet. The rest is already very well wrote here.

What a stupid movie. Some of the action scenes and dialogue were entertaining but other than that, didn't like it.

I find it hilarious how the resident troll with the 4 dozen accounts is on IMDB right how stating how "incredible" it was for IM3 to debut in the top spot of home media sales the week it was released as if it was something never achieved before.A blockbuster selling the most DVDs the day it comes out? I'm astounded.

I take back the DCEU thing, it is worse then some of them. The more I think of it the more terrible is it.

Definitely not as good as the first, just a little bit behind the second. But not a bad movie, the Iron Man trilogy is the only Marvel movies I have not thoroughly disliked

Spectacular special effects can't compensate for the lackluster antagonist or the absence of an inspired plot.
