Won’t let me rank it (I suppose the release date given is the US one so it’s locked at the moment), but overall, it’s ok. Better than Quantum and Spectre, not as good as Casino Royale or Skyfall (not even close), a fitting send off for Daniel Craig with decent action sequences and cinematography but slow pacing and, save for his initial appearance which was genuinely chilling, a weak, unintimidating villain. I’ll be interested to see what others have to say once it gets a wider release, but for now, on first viewing, it’s going squarely in the middle of the pack, both for Daniel Craig’s tenure and the franchise as a whole.

I did not expect that ending... Otherwise, a grest actopn film and a great finale to Craig's Bond.

Might be biased from the hype coming off seeing it, but goddamn I absolutely loved this movie. Thought it was a damn perfect or close to it film - great action, storytelling and all filmic elements combined. Top Tier Bond film and Top Tier Spy film in general. One of the best I've seen. Absolutely enthralled by it. Fully engaging from end to end.

Great conclusion with some unique twists throughout! Wasn't crazy about the main plot that the villain was leveraging, but still had cool scenes and real character development to make it good overall.

Not better than Casino or Skyfall, but definitely better than Quantum & Spectre.

I've been a Bond fan all my life, so it hurts to say that this is one of the worst in the series. I've enjoyed most of the movies, Daniel Craig's Bond really struck a chord with me. Casino Royale is my favourite Bond film of all time thanks to its intense action scenes and emotional story. Skyfall was similar in this way, but it felt closer to the older Bond movies in tone. Both movies successfully reinvented the Bond formula for the 21st century.

Unfortunately, NTTD feels nothing like a Bond movie. Spectre was mediocre, but it had its moments (The Day of the Dead sequence and train fight were pretty exciting). Like Spectre, NTTD suffers from the over-emphasis on Lea Seydoux's Madeline Swann. Bond lacks chemistry with Swann, especially when compared to Vesper, so their romance feels meaningless. Ana DeArmas has more chemistry with Craig in her 10 minutes of screentime than in the entirety of Swann's time in both Spectre and NTTD. NTTD's villain, Safin, is one of the weakest in the series besides Dominic Greene. His evil intentions suddenly changed midway through the movie. I also found him to be intimidating.

NTTD's action scenes are utterly forgettable for a Bond movie. They feel less exciting than those in Casino Royale and Skyfall. Heck, even Quantum of Solace's pre-title sequence and rooftop chase in Italy were more fun to watch than anything in NTTD.

The worst part of NTTD is its ending. I won't spoil anything, but all I have to say is that I was pretty pissed off leaving the theater.

A dark and assured piece of filmmaking, enjoyable from start to finish.
