"These are both about scheming women who were wronged by a man. I like Les Dames du Bois de Boulogne in part because the lead actress looks cool in black. This is one of my favorite movies for digging the B&W-ness of it all. The story is kind of silly and melodramatic, but that's OK. The Other Side of Midnight is silly and melodramatic, too...."
