This movie would've been perfect if only the Union soldiers near the end weren't such cartoon villains.

Still, it's pretty great.

A very overrated film, a perfect example of great movie terrible editing. Could have been an hour and change shorter and would have lost nothing. Kevin Costner's narration is tied with Harrison Ford for worst ever. Go watch The Last of the Mohicans for the same premise but MUCH MUCH better.
