I can't wait for this movie. It has a great ensemble cast and one of the best directors at its helm. June 8th is just around the corner.

Visually the film is stunning and on of the best looking films I have seen since Tron Legacy. The use of sound is amazing, everything metallic in the film has a hum or ring to it when it moves which I thought was a brilliant little touch. The level of detail is immense and although it's a lose prequel it does set up the first Alien film well. See it!

Flawed, but still spell-binding. The negative buzz on the internet has its justifications, but I think it depends partly on what you were expecting from the marketing and hype and partly on how easily bothered you are by certain issues. I went in expecting a film in the same universe as, with some elements leading into (but NOT directly related to) Alien, as Scott told us repeatedly it would be. I also went in expecting a beautifully crafted film. It exceeded my expectations in this department. The main performances (particularly from Fassbender and Rapace) are very good, though the rest are largely cannon fodder. The plot has some problems, but I recon if you've read about what Scott originally envisioned for both the Space Jockeys and the Alien universe overall, you will hopefully be able to come to your own conclusions on some of the holes in the story. So like I said, flawed, but still a great film.

Disappointing. It is visually arresting and brings up some very intriguing ideas, but it never follows through on any of them. Fassbinder and Rapace are impressive (as well as Guy Pearce in a muted role). I wanted to love this film, but it's just too flawed and a bit of a mess.

A huge let down. There’s no depth to anyone and the story falls as flat as can be. I can't believe how badly written and how nonsensical the plot turned out to be. Add a dull and plodding flow and this one is a stinker we all never saw coming.

This is a marvelous movie. if you really don't feel that this flick is a great Ridley Scott comeback,i don't know what people expect to see sometime. Yeah,this movie worries TOO MUCH sometimes to leave some blank spaces.but hey,Prometheus was MADE with a concept of,at least, a trilogy. I strongly believe that is why it doesn't give EVERY SINGLE point of the plot . I loved it. A tasty alien silver plate to any Sci-Fi fan.

This film made me appreciate the Alien franchise like never before. I've always felt there wasn't enough meat to the Alien story, then this film comes along and crafts a very fascinating mythology that asks many compelling questions in interesting ways. I like that it doesn't spoon feed the viewer and we're left to interpret much of what we've seen on our own.

Eh, it's okay. The plot is a little too "we'll explain all this in the sequel" for my taste.

A cult classic, and one of the best films to be released on the Blu-Ray Disc format.

I dont think it sucked but it was a PG-13 CGI version of Alien and not as good as the first two but I did think it was epic in parts but it could have been a hell of a lot more gritty more shocking with scenes of different creatures or longer fight scenes! overall a good sci-fi film but not a masterpiece or a classic, I do want a follow-up though!

Good addition to the alien franchise. It actually might be my favorite. Great supporting cast. My favorite thing about this film is for sure the cinematography, it's a gorgeous movie. My one big complaint is the sound design. Who ever was the sound designer should go back to film school.

An intetesting film. Visually gorgeous, nice ambiguity with the 'engineers', David is a great addition and I like the mythology that was explored. Unfortunately, it has dumb character moments, hammy dialogue and is fill of clichés.

It isn't exactly flawless, there are some crazy stupid moments in this film, and it probably isn't the best of 2012, but it was decent enough after Alien 3 and Resurrection.
