Disney Channel Spidey still has potential but is stuck in the Disney era politically correct nonsense to be as good as the Raimi Spider-Man.

Still not a good as Raimi Spidey 2, but this miiiight just be the second best of all the Spidey flicks. Super fun, amazing cast (Tom Holland is the best Peter Parker by far) and great action. I was smiling the whole time. A strong 8/10 from me.

These Marvel standalone movies are the cinematic equivalent of a towelrack or a soap dish. Not the worst or even most useless thing in the world but they only exist to serve some sort of functional appliance- mainly just to exist. Sure, Jake Gyllenhaal is again fantastic and the movie isn't without some cool moments but I can't tell this movie apart from any other recent Marvel installment (besides Endgame)!

Surprised at how much I enjoyed this film. They kept the tone fun and the pacing crisp. They also kept any and all of the idiotic social justice elements from “Homecoming” far away from this installment. That factor in and of itself was refreshing and welcome. Holland was superb as expected but it was Jake as Mysterio that really shined. Doing Mysterio justice and actually improving upon his comic book source material was also something I didn’t expect with hugely satisfying results. Pure Spider-Man action to finish with flashes of the actual adult character we all want to see. They are definitely on the right track, again, surprising given what has come before.

I'm certainly not going to be one of the sad people if Spider-Holland 3 ends up being cancelled or something.

It's a light-hearted and fun Spider-Man movie, nothing more. Best parts are Mysterio and the post-credits scene that sets up NWH.
