Here is a matchup between Apple and oranges. Guns of Navarone is a far superior movie in the backdrop of War movies, produced in large number during 50s& 60s. It's plot, direction, photography are amazing. What to talk of superb performers like Quinn, Gregory Peck and Irene Papas. Even support actors like Gia Scala in smaller roles have left a mark.
