"Believe me, I wish I could just wish away my feelings..."

And I wish I could just wish away such awful dialogue from this movie.

What happened to you, George?

This is the best Star Wars movie in the Saga IMO. It has a great forbidden love story which I eat up. It has action and adventure. Everything a Star Wars fan could want. I will admit however some of the dialogue is a little cheesy but george lucas isn't good at love scene dialogue apparently lol

EDIT:

This is the worst Star Wars movie in the Saga IMO. It has an awful forbidden love story which I couldn't eat up. It attempts action and adventure. Everything a Star Wars fan loathes. I will elaborate however that the dialogue is absolutely terrible and George Lucas can't write scripts anymore.

You're Welcome.

Did I read this currently? Please tell me you're joking? The "forbidden love story" was forced, awkward and soap operatic. It's completely un-Star Wars-like. No adventure, no character arcs, no deep themes and conflict. Just a horrible love story, a terrible Obi Wan sidestory and bland characters and themes. The dialogue is more than a little cheesy, it's AWFUL.

*spoilers* I seem to be all alone in my opinion here. Yes this movie has flaws. The love story is a joke. C3PO is also a joke, that is, the jokes made at the coliseum fight left a few scars...But when I recall the action of the movie, I get stoked. The Coruscant chase sequence, Obi-Wan/Jengo Fett fight and asteroid space battle, and don't forget the most important character reveal of all time. No, I'm not thinking of the reveal of who Luke's daddy is, I'm talking about the fact that Yoda carries a light saber and he uses it. Probably the most exciting moments I can recall in a movie theater. Yoda slowly opens his cloak, revealing a light saber (a la gunslinger style) and lights it to accept Count Dooku's challenge to a light saber battle. "Judge me by my size, do you", indeed. 'Nuff said.

Okay, I do like this one more than The Phantom Menace. It downplays the annoying characters and politics. The threat is more real and it feels less like a kids movie. And while, Phantom is very dull and lifeless, I can watch this movie at laugh at how terrible it is. It has some nice hints at setting up the original trilogy and some of the minor moments are kinda fantastic (such as the opening elevator scene, death sticks and Anaklins mums death). Once again, the production and sound mixing is pretty creative but suffers from bland direction, wooden acting and using way more CGI than Phantom. The negatives lie with the romance as it's so damn forced, awkward and clichéd; I found myself cringing at many points as a miscasted Hayden Christensen cries as he confesses his love or puts down Obi Wan. The very little action isn't very exciting or visually interesting and some disappointing elements includes the unnecessary origins of Boba Fett and turning the Jedi from spiritual monks to detectives on the job. 4/10.

I still believe this movie (& TPM) got a lot of unnecessary hate. And now with the sequels (& Solo), I truly believe this is an amazing film. Though that’s probably my childhood bias in the way. It is my least favorite Gorge Lucas SW movie, but it’s still think it’s a diamond. Especially compared to TROS.

I had a bit more fun in AOTC than TPM but they are both disappointing.
