Somebody explain the giant spider in this disappointing flick!

If you're curious what the spiders symbolize I recommend checking out Chris Stuckmann's analyzed review of the movie on youtube. He breaks down the entire movie but if you're just curious about the spider element it is explained towards the end of the video. I think his take on the film is quite accurate. The film is definitely not your traditional thriller but I quite enjoyed it,

Like nothing I've ever seen before, and unlike anything I'll ever see in the future. I don't know if it's a great film, but it's really engaging and the ending is totally twisty and really affects the viewer. Well worth seeing, a good film.

This film showcases how dynamic of an actor Jake Gyllenhaal is. He contrasts between the two doppelganger's roles perfectly. Nothing to fault with his performance.

Gyllenhaal blew me away once again. This guy is one hell of an actor and this film is one hell of a mindfuck!

Ever since watching this movie, I've turned into such a big Dennis Villeneuve fan. His films have something so special about them. Hardly any other filmmakers capture your attention like he does. His films always have an imaginative narrative and creative visual aspects to them. Excited to see what else he comes out with after watching this, prisoners, sicario, and arrival.

To me, this movie is a masterpiece! It's something that requires you to pay attention and it's a very different movie. It's about a man's fear of commitment and it takes you into the conscience of a character better than most movies will ever do! It's a battle of his soul and a battle of his identity! The film is basically perfect and there's so much thought going into it on the behalf of the filmmakers! It's sad how movies like these are now laughed at and are hated by audiences and critics.
