Toy Story has been a big part of my childhood. Although Star Wars is my personal favourite trilogy, Toy Story is the most consistent with three perfect movies all in my top 40. With all that being said, I was worried about a Toy Story 4. Toy Story 3 was so perfect and emotional in its conclusion that I was worried a 4th one would've spoiled it. And all I have to say is that this is NOT as good as the trilogy... yet I still loved every minute of it! Woody's individual arc, the supporting characters, new and old, and the ending are all superb. This may be the funniest out of the 4 as well. Sure, normally I dread the thought of a sequel to something I like just being a cheap gag narrative but, hey, if its genuinely good and funny, I don't care. I was almost rolling in the aisle! I do have a couple problems. First one, the story is pretty aimless and a couple times it even repeats plot points already completed. Second one, the villain. She lacks the presence and surprise of Sid, Lotso or even Stinky Pete. Her first scene is great and I like villains with realistic motivations that I can sympathise with, but my God, did they turn her into a wimp way too fast and she doesn't contribute a lot expect for a satisfying end to her arc. But I don't judge movies for flaws, it's not a dog competition. And if so, who would win? MY dog. Tricks or no tricks, he's MY dog. Toy Story 4 is a great expansion to three classic childhood movies that exceeded my expectations!

This was a generic and harmless addition to the Toy Story lore. Nothing remarkable but nothing bad either. Frankly, I was expecting more. The entire installment played out like a DVD bonus extra or a holiday made for TV effort.

I liked it more than number 3! Forky was my favorite character for sure.

Apparently this was really good. I can't remember a thing about it, so I guess I'll have to take your word for it.

Although it's unusual for Pixar to continue a series for this long, if each new episode is going to remain this spectacular, keep them coming.
