Quotable,very atmospheric, great performances, ballsy as hell. Can 70s cinema get any better than this? (The answer is yes, but for the sake of calling Dirty Harry awesome, let's go with no.)

The movie would be a lot less without the performances of both Clint Eastwood and Andy Robinson, but as it stands, it works very well.
