I'm 50 minutes in and want to hang myself. Between the hackneyed impressions to the hamfisted jokes to the unbearably campy dialog, there's nothing here to enjoy. I generally hate films from the 40's and 50's, so take with however many grains of salt, but this is a laborious, cheesy slog.

The first half was kind of bad to be honest, but the second half really revived this from being low on my list to much higher.

Stalag 17 is so underrated it's criminal. One of the 10 best films of the 1950's IMO.
