Don't let the critics convince you otherwise. This is an enjoyable movie. Not perfect, but it is good fun.

I have never been happier to see a movie bomb at the box office (at least so far this opening weekend). I would've been pissed if this did good money. I hated it that much.

Spot on,Jacob. I REALLY do hope the Verbinski/Depp team retire after this. It just doesn't work. At all. William Fichtner deserves a honorable mention 'cause he really gets the job done even on this uber bomb, but that's it. Indian Jack Sparrow with makeup doesn't necessarily make a movie a instant hit,Disney.

Interesting how polarizing this film has become. I had a great time throughout, with my only complaint being that the movie is a good 30 minutes too long. Still, I thought all of the parts were good, and some were great. Johnny Depp is a hit or miss actor, but Tonto is one of his most interesting performances. I like the constant guessing game of how much of his weirdness is legit and how much is basically "freaking the normals". The action scenes were truly excellent (though there could have been a bit less stuff between them.

Not an all-time cinema classic, but better than many movies this year that have gotten better reviews.

Um, what went on in this movie? Just a bunch of randomness with confusing transitions packed into 2 and a half hours
