It has a few genuinely creepy parts, but for the most part it's a poor rehash of the original with stupid characters.

I completely agree with JC13. While watching I realized they were trying to recreate the original Blair Witch Project. Fail!

Of course it was going to rehash the original a little. There isn't a lot you can do with the Blair Witch name! But they certainly did try to make it interesting and creepy, even though it is pretty bland. My biggest complaints are the supernatural crap that ruins the ambiguity of the first and also the overuse of jumpscares. The first is a very unique experiment, this one tried and wasn't at all a cash grab sellout. But it also didn't quite capture the feeling of the first. 5/10.
