This is a Sam Raimi movie through and through. His wacky sense of direction fits the madness of the multiverse. Olsen and Cumberbatch are once again great as Wanda and Strange. It is a visually appealing film.
The script is a mess. It feels severely stretched out. Wanda's story involving his children worked in the MCU series, but it feels worn out in this film.
I expected more of the multiverse and cameos, but the ones that we got were pleasing.

Raimi is back! Granted, it's more Evil Dead-era Raimi than Spider-Man-era Raimi, but still: Raimi is back!

Reviews seem very mixed. 79% on Rotten Tomatoes with 6.7 AVG score and 62 on Metacritic. Putting it on par with Iron Man 3.

It’s decent, it’s nowhere as good as No Way Home or even the first Doctor Strange, which is sad because I expected more. I think the critics got it right this time.

Raimi really came back to Marvel and made another one of the best superhero films. Mad respect.

Without question a huge disappointment. I don’t blame Sam Raimi. He did the best he could given the script or lack thereof. It’s not that they WASTED the Illuminati or that expectations were too high. It’s the fact that NO character had any arc whatsoever. The movie is the definition of shallow and soulless. Nothing or no one has any depth.

I think Strange has a fairly okay arc, and it's pretty visible and explicit what his arc is. But yeah, I feel like things were a bit weird

A wild ride. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the many Raimi-isms. :)

Entertaining and full of eye candy but kind of silly at the same time.Benedict Cumberbatch is excellent as Dr. Strange.

It's a fine theme park ride with some elements of the Evil Dea-era Raimi but it's far from a coherent movie.
