As much as I love this site, their official chart is a bit hard to take seriously! I mean, Ghostbusters at 24!?!?! The best Lord of the Rings movie is 59, T2 is 50....

Two other films that share no place in the top 30 are 'Monty Python' (which I really liked but still...) and Return of the Jedi, a great conclusion but still not as great as movies like T2, LOTR, Aliens and the list goes on...

It's really quite simple, everyone enjoys different kinds of movies. Did you expect the overall chart to like, conform to yours or something???

I think that the opinion or preference of movies by the Flickchart creators is a predominant factor in the placement of movies. They must just like Ghostbusters more than the other movies. I mean, more popular and cheesy silly movies are rated higher than some art movies which are clearly better. It's all opinion, I personally love Ghostbusters and don't overly oppose the placement of it despite it being clearly overrated.

While I think it being higher then Jaws, Schindler’s List, Lord of The Rings, Temple of Doom, Rocky etc. to be unreasonable… it’s still a amazing movie. It never gets old, it has incredible writing, great characters, and fantastic comedy. If anything, it gets better with age. I don’t even have nostalgia for it (cause I only watched it a few years ago), it’s just so good I have to love it.
