As a massive Queen fan, I can honestly say that this did not disappoint.

Its solid but not nearly as spectacular as it could've been. Definitely worth seeing (and if you lack a proper sound system at home definitely catch it in a theater, the music sounds spectacular). Malek is stunning as Freddy

Just came home from watching it. So awesome. Incredibly moving and inspirational. I'm definitely biased as a Queen fan, but fuck yeah, I loved it.

2018 movie #27: Bohemian Rhapsody. Huge Queen fan and I have to say; this movie is really good. The cast is spot on, the Live Aid recreation is now one of my favourite sequences ever (I was still shaking 15 minutes after the film ended I had so much shivers going through me) and, obviously, the music is fantastic. Biggest problem is that there’s one plot thread that’s so altered it comes across as being fictional. Still one of the best moviegoing experiences I’ve had all year. 7.5/10.

An amazing film which pays tribute to rock and the experience of the rock concert. Direction, performances, set design, costume design, cinematography, and don't forget the sound design - all outstanding here. Everyone must see this in a good home theater set up to truly appreciate the sound and music mix in this film. The Live Aid concert may be the best musical performances recreated in TV or a movie. I don't even own a Queen song, but as a rock fan I found this one to be captivating nonetheless.
