Like many Spielberg films Lincoln is too long, but it's held together by a wonderful performance from Daniel Day-Lewis.

One of those rare sought-after performances in which you don't see an actor, you see the actual person being portrayed. This is exactly how I always pictured Abraham Lincoln moving and speaking, and it's seriously magical being able to see him alive for the first time. The movie simply serves as the stage on which to see this marvel. This movie should be toured and exhibited as The 8th Wonder of the World.
