No, it's not terrible, but it definitely doesn't compare favorably to Casino Royale or Skyfall.

I agree, I didn't love it, but I still enjoyed it enough for it to be a 6.4 out of 10 for me.

A muddled mess of a Bond movie with action scenes that barely forward the narrative. I just wanted it to end.

I love most of the Daniel Craig Bond films but this is an outlier. There’s only a few good scenes and a lot of it kind of sucks. If they had stuck around making it longer and actually got a good script, the film could have been really good! There’s some interesting ideas like the villain just being a rich Industrialist and Bond going over the edge but nothing is handled well and everything comes off as dumb or surface level. Also, it’s filled with pointless action scenes to fill up the story. The opening two action scenes and Opera House Scene are okay though

Casino Royale was a spectacular return to form, so it's not wholly unexpected that this follow-up has been tagged by some as one of the low points of the franchise.
