"This adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo (as do most of them) annoys me because it changes the ending, thus totally destroying the entire point of Dumas's novel. Usually I'm not a stickler for literary faithfulness, but this is one that really bugs me. On the other hand, Buster Keaton with sound is not as sublime as Buster Keaton silent,..."
