This movie is insanely over the top but insanely enjoyable at the same time. Highly recommended.

It's not really a great film but it's a heck of fun

The first 45 minutes and the last 45 are like two different films. The first is humorous and clever, and the second is a poor man's Reservoir Dogs. And the change in Defoe's character is completely unjustified. It's as if they left an hour on the cutting room floor to get it under two hours at the expense of continuity. A shame, really.

I am baffled by what people like about this movie. Is it the homophobia, the misogyny or the racism? Or the strong pro vigilante stance it takes.
