Wanted to like this more than I ultimately did. some scenes are definitely QT at his best, Pitt and DiCaprio are great. Robbie is very good (though underutilized). Just wanted it to come together as a stronger whole

Not a bad film but definitely not Tarantino's best work. The film has good acting and great cinematography but it has a disjointed storyline and a very sluggish pace that is just a set up for a violent ending that is kind of ridiculous but gives the film it's fable title.

To those who are complaining that the film is sluggish and has no plot..this film is in the vein of 2001,Blade Runner, etc where the plot is not relevant. It is all about the experience and the characters. This is a film that will age very well and will be seen as a masterpiece in years to come. It gets better with every rewatch. Plus, the more you know about the pop-culture of 1969 and the characters of that era, the better.

Keeps getting better after every rewatch. It is Tarantino's most emotional, mature & complex film. It is a story about characters questioning their mortality & getting old in Hollywood and will be seen as a masterpiece in years to come.

As someone who isn't a big Tarantino fan, I did really like this movie. Leo and Brad Pratt are fantastic. The production is flawless. The setting, the cinematography, all of the colours leap off the screen. And it has some really great individual scenes, Rick Dalton has an interesting character arc and how it comes together in the end is kinda intelligent. Unfortunately, the entire movie just runs for too long and the Sharon Tate stuff does adds nothing.

To be fair, it's much like Inglorious Basterds where it's based on real life. It's a buildup that you follow with the knowledge of what actually happens in real life, and then rips the rug from under

For people commenting about Sharon Tate's arc, the movie does not work without it.She is the dramatic engine of the movie, as you know she is going to die on August 9th.That's why just watching her live her life is so heartbreaking as you know it's about to end on August 9th. There is also a thematic link here as Sharon is at the beginning of her career & Rick & Cliff being are at the end of there's and how heartbreaking it is when either one ends.Anyway that's just my opinion .

Those aren't opinions, those are straight facts and are what most people don't seem to get. This movie is brilliant and I loved every second of it.
