A nearly great film with a terrific atmosphere. Loses itself a little in the 3rd act IMO but I would very much recommend it.

After watching, i felt like it was a prequel in a way. Its the journey of a daughter becoming a Witch, all the horrors and situations that led her on the path to "the dark side"

I feel the need to give it a 2nd viewing before ranking it higher.

Atmospheric and creepy. Builds impressively, but the payoff is a bit lackluster.

Good slow burn Horror film with strong performances and a good sense of atmosphere.

Well made and creepy in places. A bit slow-moving, but the visuals and sound design make up for it. 7/10

The Shining of our era, with meticulous and near-perfect attention to detail and atmosphere. Creepy, stunning psychological slow-burner.

In a sense, a modern day version of the shining. Slow and hard to re-watch, but tells a good story and is very, very well made. Just not all that fun

Very well crafted movie! But the director’s sense of morality is very sad and alarming.
