By far the best movie of the year in my honest opinion. Just saw it today and loved every minute of it.

I almost always like the first film of a series the best. Mission: Impossible is strange though because this is the third sequel I prefer to the first one. In fact I'd call this the best one yet. I had a blast with it. Mr. Cruise delivers the goods yet again!

Wow. Very impressed with this one. Probably the second best in the series after the original. The camera work during the action scenes is amazing. As are all the stunts and the editing. Had one of the best Chase scenes I've seen.
A strong 8/10.

Still has the irritating invincible man scenes with Tom Cruise surviving a car flipping over 20 times and then jumping on a motorcycle going 100 mph right after. However, it does take the awesomely done action scenes from MI4 and the though provoking twists and turns from the first one to make for a solid entry in the Mission Impossible series.

My experience with Rogue Nation reminded me of when a band or an artist releases a great album that's well produced, has a catchy hook to every song and there's an certain energy and sound that was never captured before. And then, a few years later, they release another album. They took what made the last one so rememberable and overdoes it to an extreme point where it sounded like they spent too much time in the studio and the sound was a little tired and not so energic. Although, you still really like a couple tracks and thought it was a pretty exciting ride, overall!

What the hell was I on, haha. This is a great and very exciting movie and now my second favourite of the Mission: Impossible series (after Ghost Protocol). The story is classic espionage where they execute all the M:I elements perfectly and the direction, stuntwork and production is practically flawless. The opera sequence, the opening, the climax, the water sequence, the motorbike chase. There’s a lot to love! Only thing that’s letting it down is Alec Baldwin's subplot which felt a tad unnecessary and underdevelopment but everything else is so so good!

I can't help but feel that you got the Album analogy from somewhere? I heard Mark Kermode use a similar comparison in his review of Elysium, but it was worded differently to yours.

Was gonna be hard to top Ghost Protocol. Not quite as good, but still the 2nd best entry in the series. Fun movie. 4.5/5.

Boasts a screenplay with several genuine surprises, virtuoso sequences, and thrills to spare.
