Don't let the bad reputation from the past scare you away. The Criterion restoration of this beautiful, sweeping western is the version you want to see.

A pretty bad and dull movie, but is it the worst movie ever made? No, not even close. Just go watch Birdemic or Manos: Hands of Fate. I dare you to tell me one of those movies are better.

Since my first comment, my opinion on this film has changed after a few viewings. I now think of Heaven’s Gate as an underrated masterpiece.
