Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan is another masterwork of stupendous achievement from this gifted director. Natalie Portman gives an award worthy, memorable performance as Nina. This film is the crown jewel of 2010. A magnificent and powerful work of art.

I had a lot of problems with the third act and some of the CGI that was used. And i didn't care for the hand held camera work either. But an overall interesting movie, but not on the same level as The Wrestler or Requiem.

The one problem with this site is that Black Swan is 11th. I hated this film but I do see why some people can't get off of it. The fact that it's 11th though is complete BS. For a "complex" movie it was incredibly simple, a person going crazy over something they really want, there are other movies that depict the same basic story in a much more interesting way. People should realize that just because it has ballet in it doesn't make it artsy and deep.

Black Swan IS deep. Did we watch the same movie??? When people say the film is complex, they do not mean the storyline, they are mostly referring to the end, which can never be solved.

this movie really wasn't that good. some people obviously want to seem more complex and intelligent by saying they like a movie that is dark and psychological. get over it! she basically goes crazy because she wants something so damn bad. i was hardly entertained and found myself relieved when it ended.

I respect your opinion, but consider the fact that people just like the movie. I loved it, but I do not seem any smarter by saying so.

Black Swan was the big 2010 surprise for me. Definitely my favorite of that year.
Enjoyed it start to finish. Fantastic film with gorgeous dance scene's and some particularly eerie scene's, executed excellently.
Perhaps Aronofsky's ánd Portlands best performance yet.

This movie mixes so many genres so well ...its pretty amazing. Definitely one of the best of 2010 and of all time. A spectacular performance from Portman and the last act of the film will surely leave you in awe.

A very good psychological movie which really diverged from my initial expectations.

Like Whiplash, but not as nuanced and interesting to me, but still great. Natalie Portman gives a brilliant performance and the direction is amazing overall.
