I'm late to the party, but I finally saw it. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Pretty damn funny actually.

Even though I'm not a Jim Carey fan, I love this film! The story is surprisingly very interesting. It's rare for me to be watching a comedy and be really into the movie. And it's insanely funny. What a lot of comedies about dumb people have forgotten that it's about comedic timing. Too many comedies does the "the joke is that he said a swear word" or "the joke is that he said poop joke" or "the joke is that someone shouldn't be doing this is doing it" approach. Two people acting like idiots: Not funny. But put someone in the middle who reacts to it with good facial expressions and body language: Hey you've got something. And every comedy about dumb person makes everyone idiotic but with D&D, it's just the two and everyone else is, at least, slightly intelligent. That's how these comedies should work!
