This movie is much, much more than a sports film. This is one of the most powerful and moving films that I've seen, and it does the civil rights movement justice.

Everyone should see this movie. It deserves so much more attention than what it has gotten. The best film of 2013 so far.

About "42" being the best 2013 flick so far,i'll have to agree with Doc81 here, but dude,i'm not gonna lie: I strongly got the impression throughout the whole movie that Brian Helgeland REALLY overexaggerated on the drama i-got-to-be-emotional-on-every-scene sauce. The impact on the whole Jackie Robinson legacy could have such a bigger impact. Some Tate Taylor chops could turn a good movie into a legendary one.

The scene were Jackie walks off the field during the Phillies game and breaks down in the tunnel is one of the best movie moments I've ever seen.
