A bit shocked how low this is on global ranking. I expected it somewhere in the 400-600 range.

I agree, and only wins 41 percent of its matchups despite more than 50 people ranking it number one? Strange. Personally, I was really blown away by this. I expected to like it fine but did not expect it to be a borderline cinematic masterpiece.
