I liked funny people but I really wanted to love it. Although I enjoyed most of it, it really went no where slowly. The 2 and a half hour run time made the film drag somewhat and it probably should've been cut back in the editing room. Surprisingly self indulgent effort from apatow. The performances were good but the humor definitely didnt stack up to the 40 year old virgin and knocked up. I think it was more of a drama than a dramedy. The comedy was a requisite due to the plots inhabitants but I think the human drama was what engaged me the most.
