I think this film would like to be a modern day West Side Story but it lacks the great memorable music and the heart and soul of West Side Story. This film is too busy and over the top to allow you to really care about anyone or the story arc. It is filled with repetitive and bad rap lyrics that never gives you a chance to believe anything your seeing to relate to. This movie thinks that more is better so we have a large cast that fills the busy screen with clutter and chaos. I never have been a fan of constant singing of almost all dialogue unless the music is truly special . if you love this film or this type of film go for it but I could hardly set through it.
